4 Tips for Being Productive with a Full-Time Job and Side Projects

As someone who has a full-time job and enjoys coding in their spare time, finding the time to do everything can be a real challenge. At first, I struggled with the feeling that I needed to quit something in order to make room for another task. But after some time, I realized that having a lot of things to do actually helped me stay productive.

To make the most of my day, I have a few tips to share on how to be productive even with a full-time job:

Wake up early

I wake up every morning at 6 am, which is perfect because I start work at 7 am. But even if you don’t have to start work that early, waking up early can help you feel more energized and ready to take on the day.

Plan your week

Instead of planning your day and trying to do everything in one go, try planning your week instead. Make a list of the tasks you need to complete for the week and work on them each day. This will help you stay organized and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Make tasks a habit

Find a designated time for the tasks you need to do and make them a habit. This way, you can find joy in completing them and avoid feeling like you don’t have enough time in the day. For example, I set a goal for my coding projects each week and work on them daily at a specific time.

Exercise/Walk

Exercise is important for our physical and mental health, but finding time for a full workout every day can be a challenge. Instead, try incorporating exercise into your daily routine, such as walking to and from work or taking a short walk during your lunch break. This will help you stay active without taking up too much time.

In conclusion, finding time to do everything you want to do can be a challenge, but with some planning and a bit of effort, it’s possible to stay productive even with a full-time job.

Remember to prioritize your tasks, make them a habit, and find ways to incorporate exercise into your routine.

With these tips, you can make the most of your day and achieve your goals.
