“Every new beginning is some other beginning’s end.” – Semisonic (and Seneca the Younger waaaay before them.)
And so here I find myself once again, writing on a blog I’ve largely ignored for the better part of a year.
What brings me back this time?
About a month ago, I quit my dream job at a startup I helped to build. It’s still a great company, but it changed…or I did. We both did really, and I no longer found the stimulation and challenge there that once existed for me.
Now I’ve created a new company with my wife, Courtney, called Content Evolved. For me, this is a chance to align my personal philosophy with the work I do every day. CE helps others discover their unique value story and frame it in the simplest way to connect with customers. I want to teach people how to create real connections through real story.
With this change, I’m dedicating myself to explore more deeply what minimalism means to me in philosophy and lifestyle. I’ll share my personal observations here and my more business-related observations on the CE blog.
Along the way, I want to reconnect with those from whom I’ve become distant and make new connections with anyone interested in robust discussions and creative endeavors. Let me know if you fall into either one of those categories. 🙂
P.S. One of my new passion projects is a podcast with Casey Petersen at LameJokePodcast.com. Each week we explore controversial topics with differing viewpoints in a spirit of mutual respect. Please check it out and share with friends!!!!
